Watermelon lemonade with tapioca pearls
This spring and summer, don't forget to hydrate. We have a perfectly refreshing and hydrating watermelon lemonade for you. Inspired by the iconic bouble tea, this lemonade features tapioca pearls. Delight your guests, both young and old, with this extraordinary lemonade. The effect is guaranteed.
INGREDIENTS
- 100 gr QF Quality Food Tapioca Pearls
- 1 large watermelon, approx. 3,5 kg
- 500 ml of water
- 2 limes
- 2 tablespoons of sugar/xylitol or honey
- ice cubes
A METHOD OF PREPARING
- Cook the tapioca pearls according to the instructions on the package and leave to cool.
- Peel the watermelon, cut it into chunks, and remove any large seeds. Then, puree the watermelon in a blender.
- Strain the blended watermelon through a fine strainer. For a clearer lemonade, strain it again through cheesecloth.
- In a large container with a capacity of at least 2,5 liters, combine the strained watermelon, sugar, and water. Squeeze and add the juice of 1,5 limes.
- Rinse the cooled tapioca pearls under cold running water and add to the lemonade.
- Finally, wash and add the mint leaves, cut the remaining half of the lime into slices and add them to the lemonade.
- Serve the lemonade chilled with ice cubes.
